Do You Have These Five Bad Habits That Damage Excavator Cylinder?

In the eyes of the public excavator may be a tall and powerful ‘Iron Man’,but only with its drivers know, look at the ‘invulnerable tough guy’ in fact, there is a need to take care of the time. Sometimes the driver inadvertently wrong operation, will bring no small damage to the excavator.

Have you done any of the following five improper operations?

mistake one: Excavator attachments not retracted for travel. Walking in the excavator working device is not fully recovered, it is easier to hit the obstacles, resulting in a large load on the piston rod of the cylinder, resulting in internal damage to the cylinder and cracking around the axle pins.

mistake two: Digging with the help of walking power. Don’t try to save trouble when operating the excavator, digging through the walking force, especially when the small arm cylinder is almost finished with the help of walking force digging, which will not only damage the excavator cylinder, but also may lead to its bending!

mistake three: Excessive crushing hammer frequency. When using the excavator for crushing operations, according to the performance of the excavator for crushing operations, do not overload the operation for a long time, which will lead to high-frequency vibration of the piston rod of the excavator, resulting in excessive force, resulting in bending ad fracture of the piston rod.

mistake four: Cylinder rod retracted to its limit. Don’t attempt to retract the excavator’s hydraulic cylinders to the limit position for digging operations. This may result in a large load on the excavator’s cylinders and frame, as well as a large impact on the bucket teeth and pins, which may cause internal damage to the cylinders and affect the normal use of other hydraulic components.

mistake five: Excavation operations utilizing the excavator’s own weight. The driver should not use the body of the excavator for digging operation, once the operation or will be due to the excavator’s sudden body drop, resulting in a large load on the bucket, counterweights, frame, and the return support, which will cause the overall damage of the excavator.

Here are six ways to maintain your fuel tank

1.  Regularly change the hydraulic oil, cylinder should be used in the process of replacing the hydraulic oil and oil filter element, cleaning the hydraulic oil filter to ensure cleanliness and extend the service life of the hydraulic oil.

2.  Exhaust the air inside the cylinder, whenever the maintenance or replacement of the hydraulic system, the first time to start the equipment operation, the cylinder with full extension and full retraction of five strokes before running with a load, exhaust the air inside the cylinder, effectively avoiding the presence of air or water in the system caused by compressed gas leads to the surface of the metal off, reduce the cylinder cavity of the scratches, internal leakage and other faults.

3.  Pay attention to observe the hydraulic oil temperature, control the temperature of the excavator system, the oil temperature is too high will reduce the service life of the seals, the long-term oil temperature is high so that the seals are permanently deformed, and in serious cases can lead to complete failure.

4.  Protect the surface of the piston rod to prevent damage to the seals from knocks and scratches. Clean the cylinder sealing dust ring parts and the exposed piston rod on the sand and mud, to prevent dirt from entering the cylinder to damage the piston, cylinder or seals.

5.  Proper use of lubricants, the driver needs to lubricate the connection parts frequently to prevent rust or abnormal wear in the absence of oil.

6.  Stopping attention, stopping the excavator needs to be parked in a flat, safe ground, the piston cylinder all retracted to ensure that all the hydraulic oil in the cylinder back to the tank to ensure that the cylinder is not under pressure. Also need to check the threads, bolts and other parts of the connection, found loose immediately fastened.
